2011 Match Results
The Minnesota Conventional Pistol Sectional was held in Wadena, MN January 15-16, 2011. Those who braved the weather enjoyed a fun match hosted by the Knob Hill Sportsman's club. Although lightly attended, the Sunday afternoon relay was a full line that even included two first time competitors. Thanks to Darrell Haman and Greg Kempf for all their efforts to make this a successful tournament. The 1st place Gold medallion was won by Greg Oldakowski with an impressive score of 866x22. This is Greg's first major tournament win and in talking to him after the match, he attributes his new personal high score to equipment provided by Minnesota's own personal "Armorer to the stars", Mike Johanns. Jan 22 & 23 USA Shooting Jr Olympic State Championship Air rifle Results | Smallbore Results The Minnesota State Indoor Pistol Championship was held at the Knob Hill Sportsman Club Range on April 2nd and 3rd. James Ladwig of Fargo claimed the overall tournament win, while George Kasat of Eagan captured the state resident champion title as well as top senior honors. Kevin Bangen of Wyoming, Mn., was first Master, and Wally Erikson of Lakeville came out on top of the Expert class. In the Sharpshooter class, it was Greg Kempf of Sebeka finishing on top, while first place Marksman went to Gary Palmquist of Menahga. Submitted by:
